My journey in woodturning began in June 2021, sparked by a chance encounter with a YouTube video showcasing the creation of calligraphy pens. With my wife being a calligraphy enthusiast for over three decades, the idea of crafting pens for her naturally took root and following a period of research and equipment acquisition, I soon presented her with my first creation — a somewhat rudimentary pen, crafted with a roughing gouge and finished with CA glue. Like many woodturners, I quickly found myself deeply engrossed in this craft, soon expanding my skills to bowl turning, inspired by my daughter's encouragement.

Balancing a demanding IT career, woodturning has become my haven of balance and continuous learning. While I don't commercially sell my pieces, I'm open to sharing them with those who appreciate them.
